Terms and Conditions

1.  Licensing & Usage

MailPoet is licensed under the GNU general public license, just like WordPress is. You can install the plugin on as many websites as you like.

2. Premium License

The Premium is also released under GPL.

Updates to the Premium plugin, support, and our cron service are available per domain or subdomain, not both, as a subscription for a year.

For example, Premium is valid for all sub-folders:

  • mydomain.com/one
  • mydomain.com/two
  • mydomain.com/three

But it is not valid for subdomains:

  • one.mydomain.com
  • two.mydomain.com
  • three.mydomain.com

For example, a WordPress multisite with subdomains will require a separate license for each site for support & updates.

3. Subscription Renewals

Subscription to the Premium version is not automatic. You’ll get an email to renew your license one month before it expires.

4. 30 day Happiness Guarantee

If you’re not 100% happy with MailPoet Premium in the first 30 days after purchase, we’ll happily give you a refund on the cost of your license. Just contact us.

5. Activation of Premium

Once you’ve purchased the Premium subscription, an email will be sent to you with instructions.

If you delete and reinstall the plugin, it will automatically detect the Premium subscription for your domain.

You can modify the domain name associated with the Premium subscription in your account settings on Mailpoet.com.

You do not need to reinstall the plugin. The cron job will be created automatically on our server and confirmation emails will be sent to you.

If you don’t renew your Premium license after a year, MailPoet Premium will continue to work. You won’t lose any settings or data.

6. Compatibility with WordPress, Other Plugins & Browsers

Our plugin is supported on WordPress version 3.5 and higher, which includes WordPress multisite. Previous versions may have issues, which we won’t support.

We require that our Premium members use the latest version of the plugin, which is always available for free.

We do not guarantee that the MailPoet plugin will work with other plugins. Plugin conflicts are common and we try our best to avoid any issues with other popular plugins. See our updated list of known conflicts.

7. Warranty

Our products are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no event shall our juridical person be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or other losses arising out of the use of or inability to use our products.

8. Billing Details

On your credit card statement, the purchase will appear as “WYSIJA”.

9. Support

MailPoet provides support to Premium subscribers with the best intentions to answer your query within 12 hours within normal working hours, during the work week Monday-Friday. Our international team does our best to answer your question within the 12 hour timeframe, but during busy periods or if you send your request at say, 9pm, then we can’t promise a response within 12 hours. The 12 hour time frame is a guide, not a guarantee. Also, we’re only human, so we don’t work weekends. We all need a break.

MailPoet cannot guarantee solutions to all problems nor do we support customizations on our product.

We can’t guarantee that our work will be error-free and so we can’t be liable to you or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages, even if you’ve advised us of them. This covers use of our plugin on your site, or the MailPoet team accessing your site to assist you with support.

You can read more about it here.

10. Changes to Prices

MailPoet reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, a subscription (or any part thereof) with or without notice.

The price of yearly subscription fees, are subject to change upon 30 days notice from us. Such notice may be provided at any time and will be available on our site and sent by email to current Premium subscribers.

11. Spam complaints

We allow ourselves the right to terminate the Premium or any other service, like the “cron”, if we consider that you are sending spam, or emails to subscribers who never joined the list of your specific website.

12. Fair Use Policy

MaiPoet reserve the right to revoke Premium licenses if we deem them not to comply with our Fair Use Policy.

Your license may be revoked if:

  • You are found to be profiteering from the MailPoet Premium plugin
  • You impersonate MailPoet, including but not limited to: use of our name (and derivations of our name), branding, logos, videos, blog posts or any other material which is the copyright of MailPoet.
  • Our trademark is infringed.
